Prescribed information - detail
I see on your 'Prescribed Information leaflet - My Deposits' under the bit 'circumstances where all/part of Deposit may be retained by Landlord' two of the circumstances are - (ii) non-payment of any bills for the property and (vi) Failure to produce satisfactory proof that you have paid for the utility bills (electricity, gas, water and phone.)
Last time I tried to claim for a utility bill from a Deposit I was told the law had changed and Landlords could no longer do this but the Utilities had to collect the monies from the Tenants themselves.
Can you clarify for me?
