We are wanting to let the property that has been our main residence for the past 6 years, while purchasing another property to live in and redevelope.

The worry that I have is that as we also have 3 existing buy to let properties for which we declare on our self assessment, as my husband is a self employed builder.

Would this be classed as a business move and therefore liable to CGT on our property when we come to sell.

Any advice would be appreciated.
