Taking over the management of a tenancy from the Agents.
The current agent will charge £250 plus VAT to arrange a renewal letter and contract! Crazy! They do hold the tenancy deposit too.
I have downloaded the RLA Document Printer and I have the Agents Tenancy Agreement to hand (for details of deposit paid and agreements relating to pets etc. etc.).
This is proposed course of action; please could you critic it for me!
1. Letter to inform that tenacy due to end soon and invite them to renew. (ASAP)
2. 1 month before end of current tenancy agreement sent them two copies of new contract(one each). This would be the RLA contract edited, if applicable, with any provisions and ammendments necessary to keep same level of protection as the agents tenancy agreement).
3. Re register the Deposit in our own name.
Do I need to issue section (8 I think?) in advance to allow for easy inviction if necessary?
