I have looked up Street v Mountford and as far as I can see you have got it wrong. There is NO right for a tenant to refuse entry to a landlord for inspection if it is specified in the tenancy agreement, as it is with ours. Lord Scarman, quoting an Australian justice, noted that it was only "subject to such reservations" (for "limited right of entry, as for example to view or repair") that a "tenant can exclude his landlord". We have such reservations in place.
