I am in the processof buying a flat which has been repossessed. The vendor is the mortgage company and their solicitor saays that they are unable to sign a stock transfer form or produce the original share certificate for the management company. Can I be issued with a new certifiacte upon completion. Can the vendor sign a deed of indemnity. What is the legal position? I am g0ing round in circles with conflicting advice.

Thanks
