I have a tenant and have received a number of complaints from neighbours about anti-social behaviour which have resulted in representatives from the Local Authority getting involved.

My tenant is now complaining that I have breached her data protection rights by allowing neighbours to know who her landlord is.

The neighbour I gave my details to lives next door to the property and I only gave them my information in case there were any issues while the property was vacant a few months ago. It would appear this neighbour has passed my contact details to other people who have raised issues about my tenant.

Can anyone advise if I have done anything wrong here or is my tenant simply clutching at straws before I come to the point of issuing a Section 21 notice?
