I have a HMO which under current ruling doesnt need to be licenses - not 3 stories etc.
I have a fire alarm and have owned the property for 3 years. the paperwork i got said that the recommended service/test for the fire alarm system is every 5 years - i have just organised this and the paperwork now says the test is due every 6 months. clearly this will cost me a lot more money.
I am aware that annually i must get a gas safety certif - what is the rules on how often i have to by law get my fire alarm checked, emergency lighting and have a electrical safety certif done?
i dont wish to incur unnecessary costs but dont want to put myself at risk either if i not had my fire alarm serviced and there is a fire etc
