A while ago, the Residential Property Investor magazine carried an article about a landlord (midlands area?)who failed to apply for a HMO license on a student property. The tennants, even though they had subsequently left the property, took the landlord to court. The students were awarded 50% refund on the rental they had paid. Can you give me a reference to this case, so I can pass it on to a lawyer acting for me.
Thank you
