I had a tenant phone me the other day saying all her light in the house had stopped working. They live about 45 minutes away and it was snowing so no chance of me going out, I ran through the problem which to me sounded like a blown light bulb had thrown the fuse and cut the power, the tenant was insistent that the trip fuse was still on and that she had checked all of that. I paid for an electrician to call and indeed it turned out to be the fuse, it had just not flipped to off which is common just needed to be reset. Who is liable for the bill, as house fuses blow all the time is this seen as a common thing like light bulbs and smoke alarm batteries for which the landlord is not responsible.?
