Has anybody had any experience in using this grant (see http://www.warmfront.co.uk/index.htm) to get central heating installed.

I have spoken the the organisation managing the scheme, and they suggested that if you have Housing Benefit tenants (LHA) with young children, you can get central heating installed/replaced, up to the value of 3500.

The tenants need to apply, which can be done online. The tenancy agreement must contain a clause that states the tenants are responsible for the maintenance/servicing of heating appliances/systems. I have some new housing benefit tenants moving into one of my properties in a week's time and was wondering whether anybody else had successfully managed to get a heating system "for free"?

Cheers, Nigel
