Rent Increase Whilst Tenants are under a suspended Repo-Order
Tenants got themselves into arrears. I went to court under section 8 and judge handed out a suspended repo order as on condition they pay £100 per week which was rent of £75 per week and arrears payment of £25 per week which they have done without fail since April.
However, market rent in the area has increased a fair bit of late nad I figure it should be in the region of £400. They are on a statuary periodic tenancy now so in theory should be able to just grant them a new tenancy. However, I want all my arrears back and I dont increase in rent to arrect the arrears payments and the suspended reposession order.
Any thoughts on how a rent increase could affect the current situation with the courts?
