I have one of two leasehold flat in a converted house, the freeholder's managing agent pays the insurance yearly and we then repay his costs.
They insurance premium charged is approximately three times the average quote obtained by myself on behalf of both leaseholders.
For the last three years we have been asking the agents to consider one of the more competitive Insurance companies, they have refused.
Are we obliged to pay this cost.
Any advice?
