My current tenant has compalined about damp in the flat. The contract does request for no drying of wet/damp clothes indoors. However, in winter they always dry washed clothes internally, hardly open windows etc. To help, I gave them a dehumidifier. They only turned it on for a few days and then put it back in the shed (excuse: guests visiting, and costs of electricity to run!).

Tenant insist that it is too much hassle to visit laundry and too cold to hand on clothes string. Flat is too small for a clothes dryer. I told tenant that they are cause of problem, and if I ask a company to replaster wall, no guarantee of improvement, as tenant unwilling to change their ways! Grateful for advice!
