I have a tenant who is after a double glazed door. She says the old door was letting cold in this week. I explained to her that it has been exceptionally cold this week but offered to look at upgrading the draft exclusion on the door and also to supply her with a door curtain. She is threatening to go to the council and complain. The door is a solid wood door and is in good condition. Do I have to change it.

Am I right in thinking as well that I shouldn't make major changes to the building fabric while there is a tenant in as the house is then classed as uninhabitable and I then also have to find her and her family alternative accomodation while the repair is going on.
