Hi, my girlfriend and I are in the process of buying our second rental property and have encountered a few issues raised in the property survey. A party wall/fireproofing needs building in the loft space and the surveyor has highlighted that we need to address a damp proof course.

My question is, how should we proceed in terms of renegotiation, who should be arranging tradesmen to give quotes etc and should we be deterred or look on this as good experience.

We are both a little green in these areas and would appreciate advice from anybody who has experience in dealing with these issues.

Thanks
Ian
