We manage a property on behalf of the landlord including monthly rent collection.
The tenant has called into our office with a letter from a receiver acting on behalf of the mortgage company. The letter informs the tenant to pay the rent direct to the receiver.
Obviously it appears that the landlord has defaulted on the mortgage payments.
what are the tenants rights and what would be your advice to us as managing agents?

Thanks in anticipation.
