As a member of the RLA not all of us are in a position to proceed in lettings ourselves but avail ourselves to the services of (so-called) "Professionals", I have had some frightful experiences- the most recent has been a total nightmare.
My reasons for bringing this to the notice of both the RLA and fellow members is that the company in Question would appear to the man in the street as being utterly respectable but beware - I have had to fight for the tenants payment of rent and now obliged to issue proceedings against them, reading up a background history I discover the company has been investigated after complaints were made in regard to thier conduct.
letting agents handling clients monies must be made to be accountable in my opinion licensed and I believe associations such as our RLA might hold a "Black LIST" so that we are not at risk.
