I understand HMRC no longer allows Tax Relief on white goods in UNFURNISHED rented properties. EG. replacement/or repaired cookers; fridges; washing machines. Is this so? And from which Tax Year did this apply from?

Also: what constitutes a FURNISHED as opposed to a PART-FURNISHED property, and is there any difference in tax relief on replacement white goods?

I have an unfurnished flat come available and am wondering whether to furnish or part-furnish it, especially as there is now no council tax exemption for Class C empty properties?

Any thoughts?
