All information I've managed to find is a bit ambiguous and just refers to risk assessments. I need to know if I legally have to provide a fire blanket and/or fire extinguisher in the kitchen of a one bed purpose built flat. A tenant wants me to provide one and claims it's a legal requirement, but I'd rather not as I feel they tempt people to try and tackle fires themselves, rather than just getting out of the property. Where do I stand from a legal perspective?
