I have a basement flat occupied by a couple with 2 young children. Due to the storms earlier in the week, there has been some water ingress - am convinced it is some old flashing that I will get repaired. The place is not flooded, but it is as though someone has thrown several buckets of water on the carpet. I have used a wet vacuum to get up what I can, I have put a dehumidifier in and I will get carpets replaced when people get back to work in the next few days. Is that enough or am I obliged to rehome the family or do something more in the interim?
