Can I firstly confirm the deadline to give notice to a tenant for an AST agreement which ends on 21 May 2014.

Second point is that the property is an end terraced house which has massive mould problems paricularly in the bathroom and bedrooms. This has been confirmed as being due to inadequate ventilation by the tenant since they moved into the property in May 2013. The property had been decorated throughout as confirmed by the inventory signed by the tenant at that date.I want to write to the tenants advising them that we intend to recover the cost of removing the mould from their deposit when they leave. Is this allowed ? We are currently dealing with the problem of the mould and dont see why we should not revover the cost.
