My (fairly good) tenant locked himself out of his (my) property in the middle of the night recently. Only the next morning about 8am did I discover 4 missed calls on my mobile phone(between 1am and 3am) and 2 missed calls on my husband's mobile. The tenant had expected me to both answer my phone and provide spare keys in the middle of the night! I consider this an unreasonable expectation, but not sure how to handle it (this situation was not specified under my definition of 'emergency' in my tenancy agreement). Has anyone had experience of dealing with this? If so please share what you did. Many thanks.
