I issued a section 21 to a tenant in August and a 2 month tenancy which expired on 25 October 2014, I then issued a N5B form which expired on 13 November, she did not file a defense until 20th November which the court accepted, they have now set a hearing date for end of January? Is this right or should I be doing something else to accelerate it? She has not paid any rent since I issued the Section 21 and she has had advice from the Law Centre. When she moved in she paid 2 months rent and signed a tenanct which stated no deposit had been paid, however she is now claiming that half of it was a deposit and that is her defense.
