I am looking at paying off mortgages on rental properties that we purchased 10 years ago by using the tax free portion of my pension. To keep it simple example as follows:
Three properties. Monthly mortgage on each 250. Rental on each 750. Property mortgage on each 100k. Tax free pension proportion 300k. Any thoughts on paying off mortgages (so mortgage free ,hurray) or take my tax free sum at say 40k per year over 7.5 years? Any general views....??
