When is a tenant deemed to have moved, when they have physically left the property or when they have taken the last of their furniture out of the property?
I completed a form for my council to say when my tenants would be moving out and the new one move in but they moved on different dates. The old tenant moved out earlier but left a wardrobe in the flat and didn't clear out their mess until the date that they were due to move. The new tenant moved in early. The council have charged me from the early date that the old tenant physically moved until the later date that I gave for the new tenant moving in although she physically moved in a week earlier. Don't know if that makes sense but they are pushing for the full amount with no discounts.
