I heard today that when an AST becomes periodic landlords have to reissue the prescribed information - otherwise any section 21 becomes invalid, and they may be fined! Not many people know this! I also heard that this is likely to be repealed.
My questions are:
1) is this true?
2) if I have not done this, although the periodic tenancies has been subsisting for 2-6 years, is it too late to do it now?
