Claim for Possession of Property Under the Accelerated Procedure after Section 21 issued

Its looking increasing likely that I shall have to lodge a claim for possession of property when my tenants' AST expires.
As this is all new to me should it go to a hearing is it looked upon more favourably by the court if I, as landlord attend the hearing?
If, once I have lodged this claim, get a ruling that the tenant is to vacate within 14 days and after that period they have still not left what would my next course of action be - Would I at this stage be legally entitled to force entry?
