A section 21 in a circumstance of a change of ownership
I am about to buy the balance of a 999yr lease on a presently BTL flat that I intend to move into personally in two or three months. having used it as my home for probably circa 6 months I will then re let it. The seller has a good relationship with the existing tenant who has been well behaved and prompt in paying etc. A soft condition of the sale is that I take the flat with the tenant in situ and handle the section 21 when I want vacant possession. My question is whether there will be dramas I do not foresee with regards to a section 21 where there has been a change of ownership of the head lease of the flat? For example I am obviously not the counter party to the AST the tenant currently relies on.
