I had not realised that energy performance certificates were obligatory until fairly recently . I have do the energy certificates now and I can send tenants a copy.
The law appears to say that they should have been provided to tenants before they signed the lease ( assured shorthold ) .
What are the implication of this omission on my part ? Particularly if I'm forced to evict a tenant using a section notice ?
