Hello. I've been using a letting agent for the past 3 years for the same flat, same tenants. I'm now giving notice to the agent and the tenants will manage the property themselves, as they are fully vetted, settled, switched on, long term tenants.
I have given notice to the agent and am in the process of issuing AST agreements and will use Deposit Guard. However, when the tenants first signed up, of course they paid their deposits over to the agent. What happens now? Do they get their deposits back and then pay them to me? Or can the agent transfer the deposits over into my Deposit Guard a/c somehow? If the latter is possible, can you tell me how?

The agents are a bit clueless. I look forward to hearing from you. Sue Kenney 07473 678887
