Notice of eviction
We have a flat tenanted by an elderly couple, always have been good tenants. Reluctantly we need to sell the flat.
We would like to give them plenty of time to move rather than shocking them with only 2 months notice as per Section 21. Perhaps write to them now telling them we will be issuing Section 21 in around 2-3 months time, thus giving them plenty of time to make arrangements.
Is there any down side to forewarning a tenant of impending Section 21 eviction?
Is there a better way of doing it without being ruthless?
Can Section 21 be issued giving say 4 months notice instead of 2?
