Hi,

I have tenants who are currently about to enter the final 6 month period of a 2 year fixed term.

I wish to increase the rent.

My first question is iv read some ware tenants on a 2 year agreement should have six months notice of an increase, is this true?

Second question due to the nature of the tenant's I do think they could be "awkward" about the increase, if they become disagreeable can I still serve a section 21 notice for possession at the end of the fixed term?

3rd question would I be better off just giving them notice but offer them at a latter date the option to stay on possibly with a new 6 month agreement with the rent I want.

Thanks in advance
