Dear RLA

we are coming to the end of our first year as residential landlords. We will be offering the existing tenants another 12 month Short Term Assured Tenancy. If they take that up we need to decide whether or not to continue to use the letting agents management service at a charge to us of 8% +VAT. We have 22 yrs experience in letting out our Lake District holiday home but this has been our first experience of residential letting. So far it has been a lot less time consuming/hassle than the holiday letting but this maybe beginners luck!
The existing agents would do the paperwork to renew the tenancy
We would continue our membership of RLA and take out the legal protection insurance. If the existing
letting agent will no longer agree to hold the deposit we would use the rLA deposit guard service
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED WE NEED TO CONSIDER? in making our decision?
kind regards
