I have a tenant who wishes to leave in the middle of a fixed term tenancy. She has suggested a friend take her place. there is one other tenant on the tenancy agreement. It seems to me that the easiest way forward would be to make her a permitted occupier rather than reregistering the deposit , re drafting an inventory (which would be very difficult when the property is already occupied by the remaining tenant). Do you agree? If so what procedure would I need to use to achieve this? If the tenant on the tenancy agreement leaves with the permitted occupier remaining what is the status of that persons occupancy? If I need to evict that person what procedure would I use? Many Thanks.
