Hi,

We are looking at renewing an existing agreement for another 6 months. The current tenants would like to renew and we would like to have them.

They moved in prior to the 5 week maximum and paid us 6 weeks. As part of this Tenancy Act do we have to contact the TDS to release a weeks worth of deposit back to the tenant upon them signing a new fixed term for 6 months?

Or can we keep things as they were, as nothing has changed, rent has not increased, no further payments from them for extras. Just the same rent to the same people.
