If a new tenant takes on a Tenancy Agreement on a particular date and pays rent from that date. - BUT does NOT move in for another eg 2 weeks. - who is liable for the Council Tax for those 2 weeks when the property is still empty? The new tenant or the Landord ? This is in a council area where all void periods now have to be paid for. I have heard conflicting views.
Also - the day on which the old tenant moves out. Is that still the old tenant's liability?
