guys

I've never been down this road before, but an elderly lady is going into a home and plans to rent her house out for two years before selling (good reasons for this).

Is there any protection for her on capital gains between the day she moves in and the selling date (2 years) based on the fact she is going into a care home?

Reason I ask is that a friend has said he had read somewhere that there is protection for her, for say 18 or 24 months.

I cannot find anything on it, so wondered if anybody else had been down this road?

thanks for your help
