We inherited a BC Sanitan hand basin in a vanity unit which has a small superficial crack in the bowl. This is stated and photographed on Inventory. The basin holds water. We would not normally put expensive basins in. Tenant has said she wants it replacing as she doesn't like the crack. The basin matches the rest of the suite and I doubt we could buy another the same, plus by removing it the tiles would be damaged round it which again cannot be replaced like for like and the same tiles continue round the whole bathroom. Is it necessary to replace the basin? If so, are we expected to replace as near as possible to original?
