Hi,
I am considering contacting Guarantor for rent arrears and would be grateful for any advice. We took on joint tenants, married with two children in March 2014 and received a signed Deed of Guarantee (Unlimited) from RLA site. The tenants split and husband moved out in December 2014, we only knew after phoning about rent and nothing was put in writing from him. Since then we have struggled to receive the rent and tenant is now over six months in arrears. It has been complicated as tenant tells us starting new job in October and we have received 4 weeks rent from council but this has now stopped. Any advice out there please, would guarantor still be liable if I can trace and serve notice? Original tenancy was for 6 months and has continued as a rolling one, with both tenants named on tenancy..
Thanks
