We have just purchased a property which had an existing tenant. The tenant has said she now wants her partner to move in and has asked for our permission. She already has a standing order set up so has said she will continue paying all the rent (and he will give her his share) although I appreciate this may change and he may end up paying his rent direct to us.

I am not sure how to proceed. It is a professional let, nicely kept and she seems to have no problem paying the rent on time etc. I have no problem with him moving in. Should I do nothing and let him move in? Or is there a way to add him to the tenancy agreement? Or do I need a new tenancy agreement in both their names?

Many thanks
