We have served a Section 21 notice on our tenant which expires shortly. The tenant has asked for a week's extension beyond the termination. We would like to give this to the tenant as he has been a very good tenant but are concerned to make sure that we don't inadvertently grant some form of fixed term tenancy by allowing the extension. Is there any way of doing this without causing collateral problems.
