Hi,

I'm a resident landlord with two tenants on Excluded Tenancy agreements. One has no TV, watches catch-up/internet on a laptop. The other I'm not sure yet, but failing that, do they need their own individual licences, or does my licence cover them (considering the type of agreement - or perhaps that's irrelevant)? As I understand it, the TV licence is for the 'receiving device' itself - ie if you own a device, it has to be licensed, whether you are watching broadcasts or not.

I do see contradicting information on this. Any advice greatly appreciated...
