Hi

The initial 6 month assured short hold tenancy is coming to an end in one of my properties and the tenants want to renew it to a 12 month assured short hold tenancy. Do I have to re secure the deposit with the TDS again and give them the prescribed information and certificate again or can it just roll on from the one I secured when they first moved into the property ? Also am I correct in saying does the new tenancy agreement just start from the date the old one expires and then obviously last 12 months from that date. With another property I rent out, once the tenancy agreement term ended it just went onto a rolling month on month tenancy under the same rules/conditions and this seemed a lot easier.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
