Tenant False Representation
I've just discovered the tenants that have just left our property following a S21 are not who they said they were on the tenancy agreement .They've left without informing us or handing the keys back but the house is empty . Do I still have a binding a legal AST and obtain a court order for formal possession of the property thus ensuring I've terminated the tenancy agreement properly or armed with this information am do I re-let the property at my discretion? Having read the potential penalties for illegal eviction I'm minded to follow the proper process.
As the referencing was done by an appointed agency some 24 months ago do you think I've any chance of recourse against them for the tenants failure to pay the rent for the last couple of months?
