Hi, I wonder if you can help?
We are about to house a new tenant. We have agreed with her the terms, and have also exchanged the signed tenancy agreement. The deal was that following the deposit of 100, which she has already paid, she provides two references, the bond and also the first months rent both by Bank transfer prior to her moving in. At present we have received nothing and she is due to move in tommorow. The tenant claims that the money HAS been paid and that the delay is with the bank (which I have checked!). She has said that we should not ring her any more at it is creating her stress.

Clearly if she does not pay then she will not get access to the property but what are the lmplications regarding the exchanged tenancy agreement and her already paid deposit? Also are we in our rights to demand references?
Thank you.
