Hi guys

In relation to the new section 21 rules and revenge evictions, A landlord can't evict a tenant on the basis of them reporting maintenance is sure that the landlord must fix.

I was wondering where a landlord would stand in the case of the maintenance issue being too expensive to repair?

For example if a house needed damp proof course or a very expensive repair Job that the landlord can't afford. If it would make more sense to sell the property and use section 21 to regain possession of the property, Would this become a possible revenge eviction? If the landlord can not fix the problem surely it can't be used against him/her
