Bit of a reverse of roles here. My son is going to rent a house from a company that say they are agents then contradict themselves. He has signed the AST and paid one months rent. They want me to act as guarantor for the rent and any damages. I am happy to do so for the rent but not the damages. I am happy to pay a deposit.
The is not guarantor limit and no individual adjudication for damages. I have discussed with the company and they say they rarely pursue damages (Then why have it at all)
They say he cant have the property without it but he's signed and paid. Can they stop him moving in?
