I'm enquiring for a friend, who has lived in a Church of England property for over 22 years. Her husband was a vicar, and they raised their family there. The husband left many years ago. A tenancy agreement was signed at the very start, with a zero rental amount, but nothing since. The local Diocese would now like her to pay the market rent - over 4000 as it is London - or vacate within six months. Does she have any rights?
