I intend to let a room out in a two bed flat I purchased.
The plan is to keep bedroom one for my own use. The lodger/tenant occupies bedroom two and can access all other areas (such as lounge kitchen bathroom ) except bedroom one.
The tenant will be the only occupant most of the time as I will not live there.
I pay council tax and utility bills and charge the tenant monthly rent.
My question is : what type of tenancy is this? Is this still roomlet when I don't live there? I only have done standard short hold tenancy. Is it easy to kick the tenant out when he doesn't pay?
