Transfer of tenancy on sale of property
I have a tenant in an Assured Shorthold Tenancy since Feb 2011. It is therefore Periodicand he was service with his Notice to Quit at the same time as the tenancy was issued.
I therefore believe the Notice to Quit is still valid.
We are about to sell/transfer the property into our Ltd Company which will change the landlord (even though I as the current landlord am a Director of the company).
My question is about the validity of the tenancy and if there's any action we need to take.
I hope to avoid issuing a new tenancy to avoid having to go through all the tenancy checks, and I hope to safeguard the Notice to Quit.
I'd appreciate your guidance.
